Tournament Stringing Log from French Open

Paul Kid of Tecnifibre reports the following stringing information from Roland Garros, where Tecnifibre is the official stringer, in the July 2009 issue of Racquet Sports Industry magazine:

-Total frames strung: 3,060 (up by 300 from 2008)
-Lowest tension: 22# for Filipo Volandri (Italy)
-Highest tension: 77# for Jurgen Melzer (Austria)
-Most racquets strung: 52 for Serena Williams

Tensions for notable players:
-Rafael Nadal: 55#
-Robin Soderling: 56#
-Dinara Safina: 66/64#
-Svetlana Kuznetsova: 57/55#
-Fernando Verdasco: 51/46#
-Mike Bryan: 50/53#
-Bob Bryan: 49/53#
-Andy Roddick: 62#
-John McEnroe: 52#

Notable to me is — with a couple of exceptions — how low these professionals string compared to the average college and amateur players I’ve strung for. I’ve posted about this before in examining pro stringing logs.
